Historic Human Trafficking Awareness Walk Held in Boynton Beach

Event Aims to Raise Awareness and Equip Communities with Tools to Combat Human Trafficking

Boynton Beach, FL - The Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Child Protection Agency, LLC (SEACPA) was called upon to help spearhead the first-ever human trafficking awareness walk in Boynton Beach, hosted by Pastor Sharon Hobbs of Greater Saint Paul A.M.E. Church. Collaborating with various organizations and institutions from South Florida, the event aimed to raise awareness about the inhumane acts of human trafficking and the exploitation of children for commercial purposes. The initiative also included educational seminars featuring survivor stories, providing valuable insights into the realities of human trafficking.

Palm Beach County ranks #3 out of all counties in Florida for human trafficking. Human trafficking is a multi-billion dollar industry and a form of modern-day slavery where traffickers dehumanize victims through force, fraud, and coercion. Organizations from all parts of South Florida traveled to shine a light on this dark crime walking in unity.

SEACPA equipped guests with practical tools to safeguard their community from human trafficking. The topic was presented by globally renowned sexual exploitation and abuse expert Jessica T. White, M.S., CEO of SEACPA. Additionally, guests had the opportunity to hear a survivor narrative from Executive Director Angine Moss Kenon of Hosanna 4 Youth.

"Once awareness is ignited, action is sure to follow. Our hope is a community with eyes wide open to begin a positive cycle of change," said Jessica T. White, M.S., of the Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Child Protection Agency, LLC.
